Amy Thomson of Scotland took MDMA — ecstasy tablets — at a party in June and the 16-year-old hasn't been the same since.
She may never be the same again.
Thomson collapsed at the party and fell into a coma and how much she’s changed in such little time is frightening.
Despite what’s happened, the family remains hopeful that Amy will make a full recovery.
"What you are seeing is amazing compared to the way she was a few weeks ago. She's improved in many amazing ways. She still has many improvements to show us all," her cousin Kayla McLeod said, according to the Daily Record. "[She] won't be like this for the rest of her life. She's getting the best care and support."
Just a few days ago, a video was posted on Amy's Facebook wherein she thanked her supporters.
