Confusion abounded Wednesday morning when comedian Sarah Silverman tweeted an anti-Hillary Clinton message just days after voicing support for the Democratic presidential nominee.

"My Twitter (account) got hacked, this is not me," Silverman wrote emphatically in a tweet posted 10 minutes after the anti-Clinton message went to her 8.6 million followers.

A tweet sent around 7:50 a.m. from Silverman's account asked, "America, are you awakening?"

A video posted by Anonymous in 2016 titled "Anonymous - Message to Hillary Clinton," appeared with the tweet along with the hashtags #Hilary4Prison and #Anonymous.

It was promptly deleted.

Silverman took the stage Monday at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Alongside Sen. Al Franken, Silverman told the crowd that she's been "feeling the Bern" over the last year, but said she has since "put some cream on it."

"Not only did Bernie wake us up, he made us understand what is possible and what we deserve," she said. "Hillary heard the passion of the people, the people behind Bernie, and brought those passions into the party's platform, and that, that is the process of democracy at its very best, and it's very cool to see."

The Democratic National Convention will kick off its third day Wednesday. Among the speakers slated to appear are President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
