George Zimmerman reportedly has agreed to participate in a celebrity boxing match.
According to Radar Online, celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman is behind the event, which will pit Zimmerman against an unknown opponent. Zimmerman told Radar that the match was his idea and some of the proceeds will benefit a charity.
News of the match is spreading like wildfire on Twitter and Facebook, with people tweeting their desire to go the distance with the former neighborhood watch leader. If you would like a shot at boxing Zimmerman, email fightgeorge@hotmail.com.
Zimmerman, 30, was acquitted of second-degree murder last summer in the 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Martin's fatal shooting sparked a nationwide debate about race and self-defense. Zimmerman was accused of racially profiling Martin and said he shot the teen to protect himself.
