Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders won the Republican and Democratic primaries, respectively, in West Virginia Tuesday. Trump will also notch a win in Nebraska where he will pick up 36 delegates.
While Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee, he has yet to reach 1,237 delegates, the number needed to secure the Republican nomination.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich both suspended their campaigns last week, but were on the ballots Tuesday and received votes in Nevada and West Virginia. As the votes were being counted, it looks like the two each had about 11 percent of the vote.
What was at stake?
For the Republicans
West Virginia has 34 Republican delegates; Nebraska has 36. Nebraska is a winner-take-all state, meaning the person who gets the most votes in the state wins all the delegates. Trump has 1,068 delegates as of Monday.
For the Democrats
There are 29 pledged Democratic delegates to be had Tuesday. There are 9 unpledged or “superdelegates.”

When will we know the results?
Polls in West Virginia close at 7:30 p.m. ET. In Nebraska, they close at 9 p.m. ET.
How many delegates are needed to win the nomination?
For Democrats, 2,383; for Republicans, 1,237.
