The Maine puppy whose mouth was taped shut continues to be in high spirits and is described as a "love bug."

In an update posted Saturday, Bethel Animal Hospital said Blue has been happy and getting better. Antibiotics have helped part of his muzzle that was damaged and he should be ready for surgery Monday.

"He was wagging his tail so hard, it was difficult to get a still photo of him," said Bethel Animal Hospital on its Facebook page.

The animal hospital asks people check its Facebook page for updates on Blue's condition. They've also received many offers for adoption, but there are currently no plans for adoption yet.
