The police department in one small Tennessee town wants drivers to stay off the road. The department used a memorable choice of words in the warning they posted on its Facebook page.
“Roads are slicker than owl snot on a frozen stump. If you don’t have to be out in it … don’t!”
The post goes on to say that every officer on the force was responding to accidents due to the hazardous road conditions.
When commenters responded positively to the colorful warning, the Dickson Police Department replied that while they hoped it made everyone “laugh hysterically” it was also designed to draw attention to a serious situation.
