Neighbors find toddler on snow-covered roof

Neighbors of a little boy are resting easy now after they found him clinging to a snow-covered roof – 20 feet off the ground.

According to police, the toddler’s uncle, Harrison Daniels, 26, was supposed to be watching the boy but was asleep when police arrived at the home.

Neighbor Allison Kuhrt said that she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the toddler on the roof.

"We didn't think anyone was home because my husband was knock, knock, knocking on the door," said Kuhrt.

One Butler police officer stood below the boy in case he fell, while another went into the house and pulled the child to safety.

“Very proud, very proud of them all,” said Butler Deputy Police Chief David Adams about the actions of the officers who helped rescue the toddler.

Adams told Channel 11’s Renee Kaminski that they also found a marijuana pipe next to the bed where Daniels was sleeping.
