Chelsea Craig does not consider herself to be a breastfeeding activist.
When her 3-year-old daughter Addie became restless in the middle of taking family photographs, Craig breastfed her to calm her down.
"That's how we reconnect and hit reset for her when she's in a mood," Craig told People. "I don't know how much longer the journey will be. I thought I knew three years go, but I didn't."
Craig fed her oldest daughter along with her 16-month-old daughter Emilynn.
The tandem breastfeeding was captured by family portrait and motherhood photographer Mae Burke.
"I take pictures that are very candid moments, and if their children happen to want or need to breastfeed, then I just keep taking pictures like I normally would," Burke said.
Craig, who lives in Corpus Christi, Texas, said when she looked at the pictures of the moment, it captured the feeling she gets when she is with her children.
She said she's simply making a decision about what it best for her family.
"I consider myself a supporter of women's rights and the choices that we make as moms," Craig said. "For some, that's breastfeeding until the kid is 7. For some, that's breastfeeding until the kid is 2 weeks. For some, it's not breastfeeding at all, and that's OKwith me."
