"I immediately said, 'This needs to go to the police station,' and I wrote down the addresses where they went trick-or-treating and brought it right to the station," she said.

Hopkinton police told WFXT that the mother of a 14-year-old boy who trick-or-treated on some of the same streets found the same thing in her son's Halloween haul.

According to police, the blue disc inside the wrapper is a highly toxic toilet bowl cleaner made with harsh chemicals that you're not supposed to touch, let alone eat.

The mother WFXT spoke with said she has no idea who may have given her son the poisonous disc, and she's just glad she found it before he did.

"I was shocked. You never think it's going to happen to you," she said.
