But his family is facing eviction from their apartment.

Arlene Brock spends most of her time with her son at UCSF Children's Hospital.

"You think the terrible two, you don't think being in the hospital getting chemo, getting a bone marrow transplant," Arlene Brock told KGO.

Her husband, Adrian Brock, recently got a termination letter from Structure Properties, an apartment management company he works at.

As the resident manager for the company, the Brock family lives rent free.

The termination means the family, which also includes another son named Armand, will soon be evicted by the end of the month.

The Brocks are asking the company for more time, and have hired a lawyer.

"(Our lawyer is) basically asking for a reasonable accommodation at this point because we obviously can't pack up and move out when half of our family is in the hospital," Adrian Brock said.

"There is no humanity in business, that's what bothers me the most," Arlene Brock said. "We're already at the peak of high stress, the highest stress in your life and then to be given this on top of it."

A GoFundMe page was set up last May to help the family with costs for Apollo Brock's cancer treatments.
