She's been the center of controversy after posting photos of a big game hunting trip, now Facebook takes a stance in the debate centered around 19-year-old Kendall Jones.

Reuters reported the social media site, last week, removed some of Jones' photos of her posing with the dead animals saying the photos violated the company's policy regarding images of animals.

Facebook, according to the Daily Mail, in a statement said the company takes down content "that promotes poaching of endangered species, the sale of animals for organized fight or content that includes extreme acts of animal abuse."

A petition was created to have her entire Facebook page removed, International Business Times reported.

Jones said she hunted her first kill when she was 13, but was obsessed with hunting after her first visit to Zimbabwe when she was 9, IBTimes reported.

The Associated Press reported, Jones did repost the removed photos, using a montage of the images from a Fox News story.
