More and more Facebook quizzes are popping up on your feed, and no wonder, they're popular. But could the quick diversion open your accounts to hackers?
A cybersecurity expert recently told WFLA, yes, you could be handing over personal information to someone who doesn't want to know if you have an I.Q. of 120 or that you were Joan of Arc in a past life.
Sri Sridharan said the quizzes could be a dangerous link that could either take data directly from your Facebook account or have you unknowingly download malware to your PC.
So how can you protect yourself, but still have fun?
Sridharan told WFLA to click on links from trusted sources.
Don't answer if it asks you personal information like what street you grew up on. That is one of the common questions to verify your identity online.
And finally, just because a Facebook friend liked or posted the link, it doesn't mean it is safe, WGN reported.
