Emoji are everywhere. And inevitably, some get used more than others.
According to SwiftKey, who makes custom smartphone keyboards, Americans use the following emoji categories more than anyone else: skulls, birthday cake, fire, technology, LGBT, meat, and female emoji.
Canada, oddly enough, leads the way in the use of the gun and poop emoji.
The most used emoji categories overall: happy faces, sad faces, hearts, hand gestures, and romantic. The least popular: Reading materials.
