Good news if you find yourself easily distracted during work.
It could be a sign that you're more intelligent than your coworkers, a new study has found.
It seems that people who are intelligent may have difficulty staying on task because of all of the ideas and thoughts running through their brains, The Telegraph reported.
The study looked at 10,000 workers in 17 countries. Nearly half said they lost concentration easily at work, Metro reported.
They also said their minds wandered once every three minutes and they checked their phones 200 times a day.
So how can you stay focused during your workday?
Experts told The Telegraph:
- Stay hydrated
- Do your creative work first
- Train your brain to stay focused
- Eat fish to help improve blood flow to the brain, helping performance.
