Dog's body found with note attached: 'We beat it to death'

Police are searching for suspects in a dog's death in Pembroke Pines after the animal’s body was found beaten to death with a horrifying note attached to the corpse.

Owner Robert Boisvert’s dog, Fox, went missing on Friday after his girlfriend took it outside, but a neighbor found the animal’s body lying on his back porch on Saturday, CBS Miami reported. The body had a note attached that read, “WE BEAT IT 2 Death lol! (smiley face) HAHAHA!”

Boisvert told CBS Miami that he had no idea why anyone would want to hurt his 13-year-old Pomeranian. Police added that this was an isolated incident and other dogs in the area should be safe.

Fox was taken to a local animal hospital where an examination by a veterinarian showed multiple fractures on the dog even though Boisvert was unable to see anything when the dog was initially found.

According to Dr. Ron Ridge, the veterinarian, Fox had 10 broken ribs, missing teeth, and a broken back with the suspects most likely kicking him to death.
