A cat that was nearly frozen is now back to being fluffy.
Fluffy the cat spent the past week thawing out after her owners found her in a snowbank in Montana, ABC News reported.
She was unresponsive and her fur was coated in ice when the family found her on Jan. 31, as temperatures dipped down to 8 degrees, ABC News reported.
When she was rushed to a vet, her body temperature, which should have been around 101 degrees, didn’t even register. The thermometer only went down to 90 degrees.
The vet tried warm water, heating pads and a heated cage, KULR reported. But those things didn't work well enough so staff at the Animal Clinic of Kalispell took Fluffy to an emergency clinic, the TV station reported.
On Tuesday morning, the animal hospital staff said Fluffy was fine and back in her cozy home, where she will be an indoor cat from now on, ABC News reported.
