A church carnival in El Paso, Texas, was the scene of a deadly accident Friday night.
Three teenage girls were riding The Sizzler at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church carnival when the ride malfunctioned, ejecting one girl who hit a metal barricade, according to KFOX14. A second teen on the ride received non-life-threatening injuries, and a third girl was unharmed.
According to KFOX14, The Sizzler spins riders around in their seats while also spinning around a center point.
The accident is under investigation.
The company that operated the ride released a statement about the accident.
