One Virginia woman was a part of the closest thing to a real-life “Sharknado” when a sand shark landed in her backyard after a bird dropped it overhead.

According to WAVY, the 13-inch dogfish shark, also known as a sand shark, was found dead beside her pond. The owner, Sue Bowser, said that she believes the shark was caught by a bird and it was dropped when the bird was leaving the ocean. She added that her grandkids found the shark, which she didn't believe at first.

"This could be the shark house, but hopefully not too many more will be falling from the sky,” Bowser said. “The kids found it, and they came upstairs and they were all excited and said, ‘We found a shark in the backyard.'”

Now Bowser says that they are the talk of the neighborhood with friends and family coming to see the shark, which she is keeping in her freezer. “I would like to preserve the shark because a lot of people have asked about it and I think it’s just so unique,” Bowser said.

Bowser told WAVY that she plans to keep the shark frozen for a few more weeks with family and friends coming in to visit. She wasn’t sure yet if they would have a burial for the animal.
