Arizona authorities on Friday night arrested a suspect they say has ties to four of 11 shootings on the state's popular Interstate 10.
Here are a few things to know:
1. The suspect's name is Leslie Merritt Jr. He is 21 years old, according to a local TV station.
2. While no charges have been formally filed, Merritt is believed to have ties to the first shootings on Aug. 29 and 30. He "faces a range of charges that include criminal endangerment, assault and unlawful discharge of a firearm," according to The Associated Press.
3. The suspect was caught after trying to pawn the gun used in the shootings, according to the AP.
4. The governor of Arizona broke the news. "We got him," Gov. Doug Ducey said in a tweet Friday night.
5. The hunt for suspects is not over. Deptartment of Public Safety Director Frank Milstead said in a press conference a few hours after the suspect was arrested that copycat shooters are a possibility.
