A trio of dumpsters behind Texas Tech University got an unusual amount of attention Monday after someone spray painted the words "Trump Ballot Boxes" on them.

Students shared images of the dumpsters, located behind the chemistry building, on social media.

A Texas Tech spokesman told KCBD the school was unaware of the graffiti. It was removed Monday morning.

Business mogul Donald Trump has been the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination.

In the most recent primaries, held on Sunday, Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, his main rival for the nomination, won two states each. On March 1, Texas chose Cruz as their preferred Republican presidential nominee. He won 102 of the state's delegates to Trump's 47.
