Gunfire erupted after a group of men confronted a homeowner and his guest at the man’s trailer home.

The first officers on the scene discovered a dead man lying in the road around 12:45 a.m., the Republic said.

At the mobile home where the shots were fired, three other males were found mortally wounded. Two were immediately pronounced dead while a third victim died later at the hospital, the newspaper reported.

The deceased have not been identified by authorities.

The circumstances that led to the altercation were not clear, and police would not say who opened fire, although the homeowner was not wounded and the man whom was visiting suffered only non-life-threatening injuries, the Republic reported.

There was no indication that any arrests were made.

An investigation is continuing.
