Sidewalk improvements are headed to a portion of a heavily-traveled Woodstock street. The City Council voted to award a contract to upgrade sidewalks along Dupree Road between Goshen Lane and Reeves Street, including handicapped accessible ramps and curbing for $27,905.
A city official said the project will replace narrower sidewalks built years ago and not up to current city standards. The work is to be done by June 18.
The council also approved a repaving and improvement project for Dobbs Lane between Main Street and Arnold Mill Road with $259,000 contract awarded to Bartow Paving. Improvements were approved to Parkway 575 by awarding a $364,000 contract to Blount Construction.
