The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund is seeking the public’s help to locate pictures of two Cobb County soldiers to add to the Wall of Faces.
This virtual site is aimed at preserving an image of each soldier killed during the Vietnam War.
The Wall website allows family and friends to share memories under their loved one’s photos and connect with others, according to Cobb Commissioner JoAnn Birrell in her email newsletter.
From Cobb County, 48 men died during the war and photos for 46 of them have been found and are in place on the Wall of Faces website.
Missing are Pfc. Willie Edwards Glover and Cpl. Roger Hulsey who both died in 1968.
The last known home of record for Glover was in Marietta where he is buried at the Marietta National Cemetery.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo D. Glover of Smyrna, according to Wall of Faces information.
Hulsey, the son of Hazel Hulsey of Canton, was a Powder Springs resident who is buried at Borden Springs, Alabama.
The Wall of Faces was created by The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, a nonprofit organization designed to honor those who served during the Vietnam War and to educate the public on the Vietnam War’s impact.
Free and open 24 hours a day in Washington, D.C., the Vietnam Veterans Memorial includes the names of more than 58,000 servicemen and women who gave their lives in service during the Vietnam War.
North of the Lincoln Memorial, the memorial includes the Vietnam Veterans Memorial “Wall,” the “Three Servicemen Statue” and the “Vietnam Women’s Memorial.”
