The USDA celebrated National Summer Food Service Program Week: "Food That's In When School is Out" on Thursday at the Salvation Army feeding site in Marietta.

The federal program provides meals during the summer months for children in low-income areas at feeding sites in communities throughout the country. On a typical day last summer, about 2.3 million children received meals through the SFSP.
