Two employees were shot during a business robbery in southwest Atlanta on Thursday afternoon, Atlanta police said.
Authorities responded to the incident at the American Deli in the 500 block of Cascade Avenue around 2:40 p.m.
A female and a male employee were struck by gunfire when the male suspect, who was wearing a black hoodie and baggy blue jeans, took cash from the register and fired several shots before leaving, Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Chafee said in an email.
The female employee was hit in the side and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition, he said, while the male employee appears to have been grazed by a round and was treated on the scene.
Anyone with information on the case should call the Atlanta Police Commercial Robbery Unit at 404-546-4255 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
