Roswell Inc, the economic development entity of the city of Roswell, will host a Hospitality Career Expo in August as the first of several events to bring together employers and qualified job applicants.
The expo, sponsored by Gas South, is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Holiday Inn, 909 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell.
An exhibit hall will feature more than 35 Roswell restaurants, breweries, hotels and attractions promoting positions and recruiting job seekers, officials said. Businesses can opt to meet one-on-one with candidates in a separate, private meeting space.
“The hospitality industry is one of Roswell’s leading industries, and with three new hotels and a number of restaurants and attractions set to open within the next year, it continues to grow,” said Steve Stroud, executive director of Roswell Inc.
The Georgia Department of Labor and other local job networking groups are helping to promote the event. Future career expos in the early planning stages include those for the automotive and medical fields, officials said.
