Partnership Gwinnett recently joined material handling equipment company Doosan Industrial Vehicle at their headquarters in Seoul, South Korea to announce the expansion of their North American headquarters. The expansion represents an additional 50,000 square feet at Doosan’s facility off Mill Center Parkway in Buford.
This location will house house sales, marketing and warehousing, along with parts operation, supplying over 50,000-line items to support its affiliate groups.
“Doosan is constantly seeking new product innovations. This expansion reinforces our position as a leader in the materials handling industry,” said Doosan CEO Tony Jones. “This expansion will also bring further investment and job opportunities to the local area, contributing to the economy here in Gwinnett County.”
Doosan plans to increase employee headcount by 21 percent by the end of 2020 and another 8 percent in 2021. This will result in 25 additional jobs for the Doosan Industrial Vehicle America Corporation division.
The facility moves 1,000 trucks a month and houses over 24,000-part numbers to provide fast response time and reduced lead time on trucks for clients in North America.
