Milton officials are seeking input on how to preserve green space in the North Fulton city as they weigh a possible bond election to do just that.

The city’s planning commission wants to know through an online survey what criteria to use in considering land for preservation. Examples include whether the property protects natural resources, provides greenway connections throughout the city or protects historic sites. City officials noted in a news release that a general obligation bond is one of a number of potential preservation tools and would have to be approved by the voters. They also noted such a bond could require a property tax increase.

The open-ended survey will be available unitl March 1 at cityofmiltonga.us/greenspace.
