Plans to improve transportation in Fayette County via roads and multi-use paths will be the focus of an hour-long presentation at 10 a.m. May 4 at the Fayette County Public Library, 1821 Heritage Way in downtown Fayetteville. Phil Mallon, director of Public Works, will provide an update and answer questions about the Transportation Plan and the Master Path Plan. The road plan is designed to identify roadway needs based on community goals and priorities. The path plan aims to create a framework to balance the needs of pedestrians, cyclists and golf cart users. Details about both are at www.fayettecountyga.gov/transportation-planning/transportation-plan-2018.htm.
