A Hall County woman missing since Thursday has prompted authorities to issue a Mattie’s Call, seeking the public’s help in finding her.

The Sheriff’s Office said Christine West, 76, of Clemont left her home for an overnight trip to Tallula Falls but never arrived. She is believed to suffer from mild dementia.

Family members say they received one call from West during which she said she was lost and thought she was somewhere in South Carolina.

Another call from West on Friday around 2:45 p.m. said she was around Lincolnton, N.C., northwest of Charlotte, authorities said.

West was driving a red, 2009 Toyota Camry, Georgia tag DP8 ANC. She is described as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches, 149 pounds with short, curly red hair.

The public is urged to  call Hall County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 770-536-8812, or 911 if West is spotted.
