Suwanee resident and Girl Scout Ashlee Hsu recently completed re-potting the city’s City Hall council room and lobby pots as part of her Troop 2440 scout project. The project involved soil selection, plant, pot, and fertilizer research to be sure plants needing to be root bound were not placed in too large of pots, or plants needing extra space were re-potted in large enough pots.

Hsu was also responsible for new plant selection and the actual planting of each specimen in the new pots.

This horticultural project saved the city significant funds. Without Hsu’s assistance the city would need to hire a service to handle care of these live plants.
