Lilburn appoints Lindsay Voigt to city council

The Lilburn City Council voted Jan. 14 to appoint Lindsay Voigt to fill the unoccupied seat vacated by Brian Burchik. The city council voted unanimously to accept the resignation of council member Brian Burchik, effective Jan. 1. Burchik accepted the position of Main Street Manager for the Lilburn Downtown Development Authority. With less than 12 months remaining in his term, the Lilburn City Council was tasked with filling the vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term by appointment.

Voigt has previously worked to help draft the city’s comprehensive plan update and other community initiatives.
