The Holly Springs City Council has approved $111,400 in design work by its parking garage consultant, Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc., for the proposed Town Center parking deck.

Kimley-Horn will work with the city and others to prepare construction documents, assist in the bid and building permit phase, help the city select a concrete precaster, and advise on parking deck security. Construction of the deck is expected to take nine months.

The precast concrete structure, to be built at 241 Hickory Road, will have 250 to 300 parking spaces, stairs and an elevator tower, gated access, no retail space and a design “aesthetically compatible to the surroundings,” according to the consultant’s letter of agreement.
