It’s not the result of the pandemic, and no need to panic, but dinosaurs are returning to Gwinnett’s parks. The “Meet Me in the Park” program is designed to encourage families to use parks not only for fitness, but for exploration and learning.
Statues of eight dinosaurs have been placed in Gwinnett parks with clues to their locations coming soon to Facebook and Instagram @GwinnettParksandRec. Guests to the parks are encouraged to scavenge hunt and find all 8 prehistoric visitors, take selfies with the dinosaurs, and share them with the hashtag #MeetMeAtThePark.
Anyone visiting Gwinnett parks is strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines and practice social distancing while enjoying the outdoors.
The “Meet Me at the Park Play Spaces” grant program is a collaboration between the National Recreation and Park Association and the Walt Disney Company. The grants are awarded to park and recreation agencies that submit the best ideas to help make outdoor play accessible to children and families in underserved communities.
