Fulton County has awarded $478,000 to four legal service organizations, the last grants to be handed out this spring under the county’s $5.4 million Community Services Program.

The county Board of Commissioners recently approved three grants totaling $245,000 for the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. The money will go toward Atlanta Legal Aid’s Disability Integration Project and Fulton County Seniors and Fulton Economic Stability programs.

The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation will get $100,000 for the Safe and Stable Families Program; Georgia Appleseed, $63,000 for the Georgia Heirs Property Law Center; and Georgia Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty, $70,000 for the Legal Clinic for the Homeless.

The Community Services Program is funded out of the Fulton County General Fund.
