Forest Park addresses possible ethics violation

Forest Park’s ethics board addressed a possible violation of city law by one of its own members this week.

Lois Wright, who wasn’t at Wednesday’s meeting, was appointed to the ethics board in 2013. In March 2014, Wright again was appointed to the Urban Redevelopment Agency. In April 2014 Wright was appointed chairwoman of the Downtown Development Authority and the city’s election superintendent.

Forest Park law specifies that members cannot serve on more than one board or commission or authority of the city. The Ethics Board has not given a timetable on when the Wright’s status will be addressed.
