Fayette County’s high school graduation rate has risen for the third consecutive year, reaching 89.5 percent in 2014. The county has the second-highest graduation rate in the state compared to systems of similar class size. Starr’s Mill, Whitewater and McIntosh ranked 18th, 21st and 25th in the state, respectively, with Fayette County High placing at 119 and Sandy Creek at 132. McIntosh and Sandy Creek each reported a more than 15 percent increase in graduation rates between 2011 and 2014.
