A new nurse practitioner added to the staff at the Fayette County Health Department will enable the facility to offer more individual and family services.
The office can provide sick and well visits for children and adults, as well as comprehensive health assessments, pre-employment exams and physicals for college students, athletes and Department of Transportation employees. Services are also available for managing such chronic diseases as diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as other ailments. The department also offers HIV testing, screenings for breast and cervical cancer, and additional health and wellness services and education materials.
