Two petitions to rezone 46.26 acres along Westbridge Road and 40 acres fronting Old Ford Road in Fayette County were approved 5-0 by the Board of Commissioners on Aug. 23.

Previously zoned agricultural-residential, the tract is now zoned R-70 and will be divided into 23 lots for custom single-family luxury homes. The measures were approved with the provisions that the owner/developer will provide 50 feet of right-of-way on both roads, and that the pavilion located on the eastern portion of the property be removed within 180 days.

The owner/developer must also rezone one lot containing an existing dwelling, in order to address the issue of minimum house size, within 18 months.
