Duluth public safety facility offers medication disposal box

Expired or unused prescription medications? Expired or unused over the counter medications? Don’t flush them down the toilet or throw them in a trash can. A medication disposal box has been added for citizen to use 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the front lobby at the Duluth Public Safety Facility, 3276 Buford Highway.

Simply drop unwanted medications in the box and leave. There is no charge for the disposal and no questions asked. You don’t need to be a Duluth resident to utilize this service. The goal is to dispose of drugs safely. The city does not accept needles.
