The Doraville City Council recently voted to approve emergency repairs costing $422,310. The Lambeth McClave Project will replace the failed storm water structure which created sinkholes.
The council agreed to defer three items of the new business agenda for the next meeting and conducted a first reading of an ordinance to require new car washes to recycle water, scheduling the second read for the next meeting as well.
The council also voted to amend text of an ordinance redefining vehicular services, removing the terms automobile wrecking, automobile junkyard and salvage yard from the Living Community Code and for a text amendment to the LCC about the definition of tax preparation offices.
The last two measures passed were an adoption of the updated Official Zoning Map of the city and approval to waive a one-time fee for certain home improvements. The latter, to encourage beautification efforts in the city, will take place April 1 to June 1.
