The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners voted to take out a $150 million tax anticipation note, to cover expenses until tax revenue is collected. The loan will help fund the county over the summer months, before the first property tax bills are paid. Money to repay the loan, which is due at the end of the year, will come from tax revenue, commissioners said.
