A crane collapsed late Thursday morning at a City of Atlanta sewage pumping station and storage facility under construction off Cheshire Bridge Road.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said no injuries were reported when the crane collapsed at the Peachtree Creek Capacity Relief Storage and Pumping Station Liddell Drive Equalization Facility.

The 10 million gallon facility, which is being built just west of Cheshire Bridge road bordering the CSX rail right-of-way, is scheduled to be completed in May.

Work on the project, which will address overflows in Peachtree Creek sewers, began last March.
