The Gwinnett Children’s Shelter board of directors has named Maureen Kornowa as the organization’s executive director. The shelter provides emergency shelter and other services to more than 6,500 children and 300 families annually. Kornowa previously served as the executive director of North Gwinnett Co-Operative Ministries, a faith-based charity in Buford.
