Chattahoochee Technical College officials said crews are putting the finishing touches on a major renovation of the Woodstock campus, which has been closed for about 18 months.
The $5.2 million project renovating classroom space, the library and faculty offices is about 85 percent complete. She said work still has to be done on the floor of the former gym space, which is being converted to a conference hall, and on entrances to the campus, said spokeswoman Rebecca Long.
The former Woodstock Elementary School has been used as a Chattahoochee campus for at least 10 years, but the college bought the property more recently to legally clear the way for the work, said Long.
She added plans are on track to open the campus in August for fall classes. The branch will offer general education and criminal justice courses.
