The Canton City Council will talk 6 p.m. Thursday at Canton City Hall, 151 Elizabeth St. about how fireworks displays on public property should be permitted for such things as public displays.

Three council members designated to look into the issue met last week and will deliver a report at the meeting this week. The city wants to ensure a setup that jives with the updated state law on fireworks which went into effect July 1.

The council will also weigh a couple of improvement projects: a request for $5,300 in additional improvements for Southview Cemetery and a design proposal and change order to complete the Wooded Mountain Trail.
