At a recent meeting, the Buckhead Coalition selected Joseph W. Evans III, its chairman for 2019 and 2020. It also re-elected Sam Massell to be president for these two years, according to a press release.

Evans heads State Bank Financial Corporation, and will shortly become a Board Member of Cadence Bank, of which State Bank has become part. Massell has headed the Coalition since its founding in 1988.

The Buckhead Coalition is an organization comprised of business and civic leaders interested in nurturing and preserving the quality of life in the Buckhead area. The organization plans and implements action programs for continued improvement of Buckhead as an integral part of the corporate city of Atlanta.

Other officers elected, by acclamation, are Dave Coxon as Treasurer, Sheffield Hale as Secretary, and Linda Klein as one of its Vice Chairmen. Bill Harrison was re-elected as the other Vice Chairman, all for two-year terms. In addition, the following were elected members of the Executive Commitee: Rawson Haverty and Matt Rohrig for two years; Kevin Cantley, Joe Fried, and Kevin Glass for three years, and Ray Padrón and Jonathan Rodbell re-elected for three years.

The elections were held during the coalition’s 30th anniversary luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 103 West.
