Chamblee High School was locked down about an hour Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious woman inside the school would not cooperate with school authorities, officials said.

Officials said the school was locked down from about 11 a.m. to just after noon. A young woman wandering in a hallway would not present identification to school officials and had not checked in with the school resource officer after entering the school. School protocol is to lock down when suspicious persons are on the campus.

DeKalb County School District spokesman Quinn Hudson said district police officers and Chamblee Police officers searched the school after the lockdown, but did not locate the woman – or anything suspicious.
