Most, but maybe not all, Paulding Co. schools to reopen Wednesday after storm

Dec 12, 2017

Paulding County students will return to the classroom Wednesday at 29 of the district’s schools after a snowstorm caused icy roads and left buildings without water.

The Paulding County School District announced on social media Tuesday that students and staff at most of its schools will be back in session Wednesday.

But the district said it is still waiting to find out if four of its schools --   Scoggins Middle, Union, Ragsdale and Poole Elementary Schools -- are ready. The district said those four schools “are still experiencing water issues” and officials do not know when those problems will be fixed.

“We are monitoring these conditions and coordinating with our local government partners. The decision on whether to hold school tomorrow at these four locations will be made later this evening,” the district posted Tuesday afternoon.
