Gwinnett Technical College has openings for adjunct faculty positions in various academic areas at its Lawrenceville and Alpharetta-North Fulton campuses.
The college will host two adjunct hiring fairs June 7 and June 9 to fill the positions.
The credential requirements are:
- Occupational and General Education Courses: Doctorate or master's degree in related field or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline.
- Technical and Adult Education Courses: The minimum academic degree for faculty teaching in professional, occupational and technical areas must be at the same level at which the faculty member is teaching. A typical combination is a bachelor's or associate degree with appropriate work experience.
- Developmental Education: Bachelor's degree in the discipline being taught and experience or graduate training.
Applicants must register in advance to attend the adjunct fairs and complete a full job application through the college's online job center under the GTC Careers tab. A separate registration is required for each position. Candidates should bring a resume and an unofficial college transcript to the adjunct fair where qualified applicants may be invited to participate in a 10-minute interview onsite.
The adjunct fair on the Alpharetta-North Fulton campus, 2875 Old Milton Parkway, is set for Tuesday, June 7. The adjunct fair on the Lawrenceville campus, 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway, will be Thursday, June 9. Both fairs are scheduled to run 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Gwinnett Technical College is the state's third largest technical college. The colleges offers more than 150 programs and serves more than 18,000 students in college credit courses, adult education and continuing education. Classes began at the Alpharetta-North Fulton campus in January.
